🛋️ Sport docuseries ✒️ #1
👋🏼 This is the debut edition of Sunday’s weekly newsletter.
I’ll put my addiction to watching sports documentaries to good use 🤓 by reviewing and selecting the ones that I think are worth recommending.
I’ll also share some interesting thoughts about them, so you’ll have something to add to your watchlist for the afternoon 🛋️📺.
💭 Alright, listen up! So, here’s the deal: I absolutely adore sports documentaries. Like, seriously, they’re the bomb!
Why, you ask?
Well, they’re an awesome way to explore new sports and figure out why people are so obsessed with them.
Plus, you get to know these athletes on a whole new level and really connect with their stories.
Sometimes, you even get a sneak peek into the locker room and behind-the-scenes action. How cool is that? So yeah, sports documentaries are a game changer for sport industry 🎬.
Air: Courting A Legend
🍿 “Air: Courting A Legend” was 🎥 directed by Ben Affleck of ⏳1 hour and 52 minutes and was released globally on 🗓️ April 5, 2023. Streaming on Amazon Prime.
Plot ✍🏼: It is a great real storie movie that digs into the story of Nike’s partnership with Michael Jordan to create his iconic AIR brand. This series effectively transports viewers back to that pivotal moment in history and focuses on the Nike agent who had unwavering belief in Jordan’s potential.
👎🏼 While the series is undeniably captivating, one minor flaw is the lack of footage showing Jordan’s face and his absence of dialogue, which slightly detracts from the authenticity of the narrative.
👍🏼 The movie features a star-studded cast, including Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Viola Davis, Jason Bateman, Chris Tucker, and Marlon Wayans. The film is a classic story of belief against all odds and how betting it all on one idea is the best strategy.
Opinion 💭: I would highly recommend it. It’s truly fascinating because the story is expertly crafted, and the design is incredibly authentic to the time period it portrays. It provides valuable information about the creation of one of the most successful businesses. It’s the perfect movie to enjoy on a relaxing Sunday ♨️.

We sohuld watch: Chasing The Sun
🍿 “Chasing the sun” was 🎥 directed by James Cook of ⏳ 5 episodes about 45 minutes each and was released globally on 🗓️ October 4, 2020. Streaming on Amazon Prime.
Plot ✍🏼: Chasing the Sun is a powerful SuperSport documentary made in collaboration with the Springboks and tells the rousing tale of their path to redemption and World Cup glory in 2019
Opinion 💭: I haven’t had a chance to watch it yet, but after South Africa’s amazing World Title win against the All Blacks on October 28th, I couldn’t help but think how cool it would be if they had their own documentary, just like the All Blacks did in 2018. So, I went ahead and found it, and based on the comments I read, it seems really promising.
